At UTD Materials Science and Engineering, we believe our source of innovation is the diversity, technical excellence and highly collaborative endeavors that our department fosters. The core mission of our department is to provide our students with the required skills to be future technical, moral, and community leaders. This mission is only possible by contributions from students, alumni, industry partners, donors, staff, faculty, colleagues, and friends. This also helps us continue to bring the scientific breakthroughs necessary to make us a global leader in educating our students and exceeding our stakeholders’ expectations. In short, we continue to “make things that matter, more than ever!” Our department is just 11 years old and during this time we have seen our University double in size while becoming a “Tier One” University. MSE has been key to that success.
Today, We’re looking ahead to a bright future in Materials Science and Engineering. To propel us forward and continue to recruit top-tier graduate students, we seek to provide additional funding for MSE Masters Students. Through additional funding, we will attract the world’s top students to UT Dallas. This program, with the support of our MSE stakeholders, faculty members and students will help MSE continue to make large strides to impact the world. We hope you will support MSE Comets Giving Days 2020 initiatives, and I thank you in advance.
