As self-reported rates of anxiety, depression and stress levels among college students grow at an alarming rate, many students are in need of practical tools and strategies to help them successfully manage information overload and navigate novel situations to achieve deeper level learning. Your gift to the Center for BrainHealth via Comets Giving Day will allow undergraduate students to participate in The BrainHealth Project, a long-term, large-scale interventional study designed to improve the brain health of 120,000 adults and youth over the next ten years. Delivered via an online platform, students will receive a comprehensive measure of their current level of brain health and performance, called the BrainHealth Index. Participants then have the opportunity to meet virtually with a brain health coach to set their personal goals, as well as access online training modules and education on topics including sleep, stress management, social relationships, and more to help them understand how their brain works and empower them to build brain-healthy habits. Students will also have access to training in higher-order cognitive functions of strategic attention, integrated reasoning, and innovation that facilitates the ability to synthesize information and eliminate toxic habits so that peak brain performance can help them achieve their goals.
