Meteorite Education and Research Lab

Meteorites are the oldest materials that we have samples of — older than any rock formed on
Earth! The UTD Meteorite Education and Research Lab is committed to teaching UTD students
and the community about meteorites, how to identify them and how to understand them, using
the meteorites in our collection. Reaching our $5,000 goal will allow us to buy samples of
meteorites needed to fill some holes in our small teaching collection.
