Geosciences Micro-imaging Lab

The UTD Geosciences Micro-imaging lab lets UTD students and others use modern scientific equipment to study a wide range of natural materials. Our equipment includes a scanning electron microscope, x-ray diffractometer, handheld X-ray fluorescence unit, and laser Raman spectrometer. Funds raised here will be used to hire undergraduate students to run the equipment and train others how to use the equipment and interpret their results. If we reach our goal of $6000, we will be able to hire a student assistant at $15/hr. to work 10 hours/week for 40 weeks.
