The Alliance for Physician Leadership (APL)is a 20-year educational partnership between the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. It was one of the first to offer a fully accredited graduate program in healthcare leadership and management exclusively for physicians.
Today, the APL is recognized as one of the top programs in the nation for executive physician leadership and development. It has grown to over 90 active participants pursuing MS and/or MBA degrees in a rich culture that encourages personal growth, community, and leadership. We now have more than 500 graduates across the nation serving at all levels and sectors of healthcare.
Funding Priorities:
Over 23 years ago, Dr. John McCracken had the vision to create one of the first graduate education programs for physicians in the nation. He chose to implement his vision at the rapidly expanding Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas. In recognition of Dr. McCracken’s service, we aim to raise $250,000 to establish the John F. McCracken Chair in Healthcare Leadership and Management at UT Dallas.
