Who we are
The Callier Center for Communication Disorders transforms the lives of those with hearing loss and communication disorders by providing outstanding, leading-edge clinical services, conducting meaningful and innovative basic and applied research into new treatments and technologies, and training the next generation of caring clinical providers. For more than half a century, Callier has helped people of all ages hear, speak and connect with their loved ones regardless of their insurance coverage.
The Callier Center understands that communication is essential to the human experience and connecting with one another. Their mission is to give patients who struggle with hearing loss and communication disorders, the treatment and therapy they need “to hear and be heard and to understand and be understood.”
What we're fundraising for
What is “gap funding” at the Callier Center? Gap funding is used when a family’s Medicaid or private insurance will not cover the full cost of audiology or speech-language treatment or therapy, and the Callier Center covers the “gap” between what insurance will pay and what the patient needs in terms of treatment.
Help provide treatment and therapy for patients by donating to the Callier Center and “fill the gap”. By donating to “fill the gap” you remove the financial barrier one might face to receive audiology or speech pathology care. YOU can transform the life of a patient and their family and give them the ability to hear and communicate.
Our impact
The Callier Center not only provides life-changing care for patients with hearing loss and communication disorders, but they also train UT Dallas graduate students to be the next generation of healthcare professionals. Additionally, the clinic supports UT Dallas research which improves the lives of patients and the community.
