One in every five Americans will be 65 years old or older by 2030. As this number grows, so will the number of people facing age-related cognitive impairment and diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The Center for Vital Longevity is leading the charge to address this health crisis. Our research aims to identify who is most at risk of cognitive impairment and evaluate treatments that might to prevent or halt cognitive decline.
We believe everyone deserves cognitive health for life! We invite you to join us in our efforts by supporting the Denise C. Park Research Excellence and Innovation Fund. In recognition of our Founder and world-renowned expert on the aging mind, Dr. Denise Park, this fund will support the advancement of research at the CVL.
Whether you're able to give $10 or $1,000, every dollar you give helps fuel innovative research and foster the next generation of scientists - graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who embody the future of academic research, teaching, and discoveries.
How will your donation make an impact?
- A $196.00 gift will cover the compensation of one research participant whose time and involvement are imperative to the data collection needed to conduct our research.
- A $1,969 gift will support a graduate student's stipend for a month. Our graduate students provide critical support for our research and are part of the next generation of scientists studying the aging mind.
- A $19,690 gift will cover the cost of 26 MRI scans. Each scan takes approximately 1.5 hours per participant, at an hourly rate of $500.
