JSOM and Dean’s Initiatives

The JSOM and Dean’s initiative provides funding as directed by Dean Pirkul for research, program development, academic excellence awards, scholarships, and recruitment of students and faculty of the highest quality.

Programs such as the Young Scholars Program will prepare traditionally socioeconomically disadvantaged students for admission into four-year colleges and universities by addressing critical student needs while the Student Emergency Financial Need Scholarships will provide funding to students who cannot afford to continue their education due to financial distress. Further, the Comet Closet's mission is to provide professional clothing at no charge to students preparing for interviews or other professional events.
