Across the globe, chronic pain and migraine affects up to 2.5 billion people. The prevalence of these conditions means that it is very likely that you, or someone you know, suffers from them. Chronic pain and migraines cause enormous suffering, often decrease quality of life and can contribute to other neurological comorbidities.
At the Center for Advanced Pain Studies, our goal is to discover new therapeutics that alleviate suffering from pain and improve the lives of people with chronic pain or migraines. We have made key discoveries in understanding the differing origins of chronic pain in men and women and the neurological basis for why migraines are more common in women than men. Through our cutting-edge research projects aimed at discovering new therapeutics, we aim to bring freedom from pain.
Your support will go directly toward our ongoing research efforts. We are extraordinarily well-supported by the National Institutes of Health and other funding agencies, so every additional dollar accelerates our work. We have never been closer to an end to chronic pain.
