Who we are:
The thirty-five member UTD Pep Band offers students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to participate in the excitement of athletic and campus community events and to perform within the greater Dallas area. The Pep Band is one of the most visible performance ensembles on campus, playing at men’s and women’s home basketball games and women’s home volleyball games, as well as for other campus events, including National Night Out, Scholars’ Day, and Homecoming.
What we're fundraising for:
As UT Dallas has increased its overall enrollment, the Pep Band has nearly doubled in size in the last two years alone. To complete and balance out our instrumentation, we are looking to buy two piccolos, one tenor saxophone, and one baritone saxophone. These are instruments that most students do not own.
Our impact:
Having them in our inventory will allow even more Comets to be a part of this eager and enthusiastic group of talented musicians, at no extra cost. And for the audience, fans, and athletes, more band members mean more energy, excitement, and SOUND.
