The Terry Scholars Program at the University of Texas at Dallas is a four-year cohort experience that provides mentoring, academic, cultural, social, and service opportunities to scholars awarded the Terry Foundation Scholarship. Selection criteria include academic achievement, leadership, service, and family income. Located in the Hobson Wildenthal Honors College, the program offers activities designed to facilitate our scholars’ intellectual, cultural, and personal growth and helps them succeed in a rigorous academic curriculum.
Guided by the Terry Foundation’s four pillars of excellence, Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Community, we value the concept “pay it forward.” Terry Scholars regularly engage in service activities, participate in a Washington, D.C. trip and attend cultural performances. The annual networking event provides the opportunity for alumni to share career advice with scholars. Our retreat, Family Day, and a graduation dinner provide scholars the opportunity to support each other. We encourage you to participate in this year's Comets Giving Day by donating to the Terry Scholars Program.
