Experimenta.l. is a collaborative lab that researches and creates experimental animation at ATEC. Founded in Fall 2020, the lab started promoting ways for students to engage in creative exchange during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the lab has grown, and its collaborative spirit invites participants to think and explore animation beyond conventional techniques and contexts. We offer students a place to combine traditional fine arts techniques with animation in a hands-on process of discovery, play, and insightful investigation.
