The UTD swim club includes many talented and driven swimmers who have all been united by our love for swimming. In the short time we have known each other, our community can be described as a family. Being a part of the swim club allows our swimmers to keep fit while unwinding after a stressful and busy school day. Along with organizing practices and providing opportunities to swim at competitions, friendships and connections have been developed with students of different backgrounds.
While it has been possible to travel to in-state meets, we would like to give more out-of-state meet opportunities to our swimmers. Participating in more out of state meets would help give more exposure to UTD and could create connections with new swim clubs to invite them to future meets we plan to host. In addition to forging successful connections with schools in Texas, we have also performed well at meets at Texas A&M, UNT, TCU, and Miami.
Overall, the support given to our club would help with funds needed for our future meets as well as practice and meet equipment. Your support would be greatly appreciated and would allow students to attain experiences memorable to their college years.
