The University of Texas at Dallas Student Ambassadors are a diverse group of student leaders who advance the university by serving as the face of the student body. To promote university pride, they assist with events hosted by the President and other important leaders on campus. With the return of a large variety of in person events this year, the student ambassadors have successfully served at a variety of university events such as Hallow’ Round the World and UTD Commencement ceremonies. They have devoted a large amount of time because they believe in what UTD stands for and promote university pride. We would love to have your support in order to have a fantastic fall semester back on campus and spread that comet pride!
The Student Ambassador Program will be providing its services to lead the following events and initiatives this upcoming year:
Oozeball: This is UTD’s most exciting fall community event, with a mud volleyball tournament bringing together hundreds of students. The Ambassadors plan and run the event in order to raise funds for an on-campus organization.
Hallow’ Round the World: This is one of UTD’s newer traditions, with the ambassadors hosting an annual fall carnival with food, games, prizes, and performances to raise funds for the International Center.
Thanks Day: Ambassador organized event with the Development of Alumni Relations where students on campus write thank you notes to alumni who have given back to UT Dallas and then receive hot chocolate. This past year, we had hundreds of students stop by to write thank you cards and receive hot chocolate!
Alumni Tours Program: Ambassador-guided personalized golf cart tours for a wide range of individuals including alum, new faculty/staff, and guests of the Directors of Development who represent all 8 schools at UT Dallas.
UTD Ring Week: Ambassador orchestrated events such as Ring Day to market and promote the Official UTD Ring.
Senior Giving: Hosting events and programs that encourage senior participation, even after they have graduated from the university.
Community Outreach: Ambassadors volunteer within Dallas to a wide range of groups such as the North Texas Food Bank and also the Buckner Baptist Children’s home where the ambassadors donated clothes to children in the foster care system.
