The Center for Leadership and Management’s Role in the Growing Healthcare Sector
The healthcare industry is increasingly complex and demands a well-prepared workforce. The Naveen Jindal School of Management plays a unique role in training the next generation of healthcare leaders to meet local, regional and national demands.
Unlike other educational institutions that provide education predominantly through clinical or allied health professional programs, the Jindal School of Management utilizes its strengths in accounting, administration, finance, marketing and information systems to educate highly qualified personnel.
Top Center for Healthcare Leadership and Management Priorities:
The Elite Scholar and Leader Program (ESLP)
Create a sustainable funding pool for this new transformational graduate program that is focused on developing leaders of character and competence in the healthcare industry. This involves research opportunities, leadership experiences, coaching and mentoring. As part of this program we would like to endow the first-ever professorship. This will enable the program to recruit top-tier talent and lecturers that inspire our students to make a difference.
Scholarships and Student Support
In support of the ESLP program and CAHME accreditation process, increasing the number of scholarships will help us attract and retain the best and brightest students. These funds will be used to support both needs-based and merit-based scholarships and support on-going “consulting” experiences where are students are solving real healthcare problems. It will also support student travel for regional and national case study competition and annual industry conference and awards program, internships and other experiential learning opportunities.
New Certificate Programs
As the healthcare industry continues to change, we recognize the importance of providing relevant learning experiences. An example of this is creating a new Telehealth and Supply Chain certificate. These certificates complement our existing program and will further strengthen our position in the market place. Funding these programs will provide a strong and sustainable source of healthcare specialization.
