Biological Sciences

The Department of Biological Sciences prepares students for careers in science, health and research. The program emphasizes the unifying molecular and cellular nature of living organisms. The curriculum covers a wide variety of areas including biochemical, genetic and cell biology concepts and the tools used to study genes, cells and organisms.

Graduates arrive at graduate school or in industry prepared to work in the modern biological and biomedical sciences. This is because our faculty is dedicated to teaching; making classroom experiences balanced with substantial research through mentor-based teaching methods and using state-of-the-art facilities.
