Herbert D. Weitzman Institute for Real Estate

The Real Estate industry has a profound impact on every sector of business and public policy. The resources expended by business and government in this area demand educational and professional skills that cross many academic disciplines.

JSOM has developed an innovative real estate program at both the undergraduate and graduate levels to prepare the next generation of industry leaders. The curriculum has been designed to provide the quantitative tools necessary to enter one of the many fields available to graduates in this area.

Students who study real estate courses at the Herbert D. Weitzman Institute for Real Estate will be better prepared for the unique demands of this industry and be provided with the foundational base to achieve further industry certifications and designations.

The Real Estate Concentration offered at the Graduate and Undergraduate level is one of the best, if not, the best concentration to choose from. Aside from the transferability of skills and knowledge between different career paths in real estate. The program director along with the associate director and adjunct professors have copious years of experience in the industry that allows them to tailor their respective course material to single out the most beneficial topics for students. Their ability to bring in their personal expertise into class examples helps to learn new topics with ease by knowing that what they are teaching you will be helpful in practice not just in theory”
