Teacher Development Center

The Teacher Development Center serves UT Dallas students who are interested in making teaching their career.

Program Performance

All teacher candidates pass their TExES exams prior to student/clinical teaching.
98-100% of our candidates are certified each year.
Our teacher certification program is accredited by the Texas Education Agency.

Many of our graduates have gone on to become principals and executive directors; our graduates include a Teacher of the Year in Garland ISD, Teacher of the Year in Plano ISD, Milken Educator Award winner, Superintendent Service Award winner and a professor of Curriculum and Instruction in the Natural Sciences in our program.
