Jindal Young Scholars Program
The purpose of the Jindal Young Scholars Program is to prepare traditionally socioeconomically disadvantaged students for admission into four-year colleges and universities by addressing critical student needs, promoting a culture of academic excellence, and instilling a mindset of achievement.
Funding priorities include:
- Provide support for all JYSP Scholarship recipients to help ensure their success as UTD JSOM students
- Collaborate with all five DISD partner high schools to create customized programming to be carried out for Jindal Young Scholars at the high school level
- Continue to increase visibility of JYSP in the community for increased awareness and support
- Continue to build capacity of JYSP to ensure its ongoing success
