The Young Professionals Employee Resource Group vision statement is “Striving to create a culture of inclusion, access, and development for today’s young professionals, tomorrow’s leaders.” We achieve this through our three pillars: connect, grow, and impact.
Connect - Through our new member mixers, networking sessions, and other special social events, we strive to bring together university employees of all ages and disciplines in the hopes that they will augment each other’s personal and professional skills. We believe allowing professionals on campus to interact with each other outside of the office as much as possible is an essential benefit included with membership.
Grow - We are dedicated to providing professional development opportunities for faculty and staff to continue to grow in their higher education careers. We share resources and host professional development events throughout the year to enhance our knowledge and skills.
Impact – Community outreach is an important pillar of the Young Professionals ERG because it allows us to get involved with causes that are important to us. We participate in events that give back to the community and strive to be a part of the solution while building relationships with others.
