Alpha Eta Mu Beta (AEMB)

Alpha Eta Mu Beta (AEMB) is the National Biomedical Engineering honor society dedicated to undergraduate upperclassmen and graduate students. At UTD, AEMB provides programs and events designed to foster long-term growth and excellence. These include networking opportunities with leading medical device companies, exclusive lunches with Department and Admission Chairs for Ph.D. and M.D. programs. Despite this, UTD’s AEMB has been limited by our chapter finances, restricting the amount of events we can have in each semester.

2025 Goal: $500

With the support from Giving Days, AEMB plans to expand its networking opportunities by inviting more guest speakers from institutions in biomedical spaces to UTD. Furthermore, AEMB aims to organize site visits, allowing members to explore career opportunities within the medical device industry. Additionally, AEMB runs a mentoring program where we support freshmen and sophomore students through tutoring, career workshops, and other professional development opportunities. Funding will be used to enhance these initiatives by acquiring additional resources for our tutoring programs.

Experience UT Dallas’ global spirit through music, dance, and more at the iWeek Global Talent Show. Help the @UTDallasAlumni Instagram account reach 10,000 followers by April 7, 2026 and $500 in bonus funds will be gifted at random to one of our Comets Giving Days groups and announced on April 8. Comets Giving Days/iWeek Service Week Event

Join us during iWeek for a hands-on volunteer event supporting future Comets! We’ll pack supply kits to help incoming international students feel welcomed and prepared as they settle in at UT Dallas. Each year, more than a thousand students arrive with limited belongings, and this event offers comfort and community. In partnership with Comets Giving Days, we’re uniting service and philanthropy. Hosted by UT Dallas Alumni, Office of Student Volunteerism, and Intercultural Programs. Passport to the World kicks off iWeek on April 6 with an international festival featuring food, music, and cultural showcases.
