Kappa Theta Pi

Kappa Theta Pi is a student-led professional technology fraternity dedicated to preparing its members for careers in tech and beyond. Our members come from diverse fields such as computer science, data science, information technology and systems, and cognitive science, united by a passion for innovation and problem-solving. We foster technical and professional growth through collaborative projects, including research and development in emerging technologies. Our hands-on initiatives, such as software development, provide valuable experience in designing, building, and testing real-world solutions. Kappa Theta Pi offers a dynamic environment for skill-building, networking, and pushing the boundaries of technology.

Fundraising Needs: Kappa Theta Pi is dedicated to fostering professional and technical growth for students pursuing careers in technology. To support our members in developing high-quality projects, portfolios, and research, we need funding to access essential tools and software beyond free-tier limitations.

Our Goals

Goal #1: $1,000 – To secure premium licenses for design and prototyping tools like Canva and Figma, enabling our members to create professional-grade graphics, UI/UX designs, and branding materials.

Goal #2: $800 – To fund AI-powered tools such as GPT and Claude, providing members with access to advanced research assistance, automation capabilities, and content generation for projects and technical documentation.

Goal #3: $400 – To cover subscriptions for additional software and cloud services that enhance our productivity, collaboration, and development efforts, ensuring our members can work efficiently without restrictions.

iWeek Talent Show

Experience UT Dallas’ global spirit through music, dance, and more at the iWeek Global Talent Show. In partnership with UT Dallas Alumni, $700 in Comets Giving Days bonus funds will be split and awarded to top performers (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Doors open on April 10 at 6:30 p.m., first-come seating. Help the @UTDallasAlumni Instagram account reach 10,000 followers by April 7, 2026 and $500 in bonus funds will be gifted at random to one of our Comets Giving Days groups and announced on April 8. Help the account reach 11,000 followers by the close of giving days on April 8 and an additional $1,000 in bonus funds will be gifted at random and announced on April 9, 2026. Comets Giving Days/iWeek Service Week Event

Join us during iWeek for a hands-on volunteer event supporting future Comets! We’ll pack supply kits to help incoming international students feel welcomed and prepared as they settle in at UT Dallas. Each year, more than a thousand students arrive with limited belongings, and this event offers comfort and community. In partnership with Comets Giving Days, we’re uniting service and philanthropy. Hosted by UT Dallas Alumni, Office of Student Volunteerism, and Intercultural Programs. Passport to the World kicks off iWeek on April 6 with an international festival featuring food, music, and cultural showcases.
