About RoboSub

RoboSub is a dynamic, student-led marine robotics organization committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation. We design and develop aquatic robots for national competitions and real-world applications, tackling challenges in ocean exploration, environmental monitoring, and marine research. Our passionate team includes students from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and other STEM fields, all eager to apply their expertise in hands-on projects. We specialize in building and refining remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for advanced marine tasks such as data collection, navigation, and environmental cleanup. With a strong focus on research and development, we continuously explore cutting-edge sensor technologies and materials to improve marine robotics. RoboSub is more than a club, it’s a launchpad for the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

Why We Need Your Support

Bringing our ambitious marine robotics projects to life requires significant funding. From prototyping and material costs to travel for international competitions, every contribution fuels our mission and enables us to break new ground in marine technology. Your support directly impacts our ability to develop groundbreaking solutions and represent our university at a national level.

Our Goals:

  • Goal #1: $3,000Our competition ROV and Float team, Hydromeda is preparing to compete at the MATE ROV International Championships in Canada this summer! These funds will help cover travel expenses, allowing us to showcase our innovative designs on an international stage.
  • Goal #2: $2,000Help our Roboboat team, Galaxsea, prepare their boat for their next competition season! With your support, we will improve our boat to knock out the competition next year!
  • Goal #3: $1,000To enhance the functionality of our ROV and Vertical Profiling Float, we need components to make high-precision manipulators. These will enable our robot to interact with its surroundings, perform complex underwater tasks, and excel in competitions.
The Power of Your Contribution

By supporting RoboSub, you’re not just funding a student project, you’re investing in the future of marine robotics and the engineers who will lead it. Your generosity helps us push technological boundaries, develop practical solutions for real-world challenges, and prepare students with invaluable hands-on experience in STEM. With your help, we can revolutionize ocean exploration and environmental conservation.

Join us in shaping the future, every donation brings us one step closer to our goals!
