Gaming and Esports

Who we are

Gaming and Esports at UT Dallas brings students together through casual and competitive play. We support nationally acclaimed varsity teams, 10+ club programs and thousands of students playing games recreationally. In the brand new Gaming & Esports Center located in the heart of campus, students connect over their shared passion for gaming. Beyond gaming, our students get hands-on experience in coaching, team management, facility management, broadcast production, photography, videography and graphic design.

What we're fundraising for

We are fundraising to support a variety of student and community initiatives. Donations go towards growth of our live event and broadcast productions that provide students with hands-on industry experience. Additionally, donations support travel opportunities for our varsity and club teams. If you want to support the gaming and esports program or a specific gaming community on campus, this is your opportunity.

Gaming and Esports are home for everyone! There is a place where you belong, whether you play competitively or casually. Every day we strive to make an inclusive and diverse environment for our school and DFW as a whole. We are persistent and are determined to build up our peers, but we need your help!

On April 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., all faculty and staff gifts of $26 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $2,600. Plant your seed of support and watch your impact double!

Comets Giving Days/iWeek Service Week Event

Join us during iWeek for a hands-on volunteer event supporting future Comets! We’ll pack supply kits to help incoming international students feel welcomed and prepared as they settle in at UT Dallas. Each year, more than a thousand students arrive with limited belongings, and this event offers comfort and community. In partnership with Comets Giving Days, we’re uniting service and philanthropy. Hosted by UT Dallas Alumni, Office of Student Volunteerism, and Intercultural Programs. Passport to the World

Passport to the World kicks off iWeek on April 6 with an international festival featuring food, music, and cultural showcases. Stop by the Plinth between 1-3 p.m. to vote for “Best in Show,” with $300 in Comets Giving Days bonus funds awarded. Visit the UT Dallas Alumni booth to learn about Comets Giving Days and enjoy snacks and giveaways.

For every gift — monetary or in‑kind — made during the drive, an additional $10 will be donated and split between UT Dallas’ Comet Cupboard and Basic Needs Resource Center.

Experience UT Dallas’ global spirit through music, dance, and more at the iWeek Global Talent Show. In partnership with UT Dallas Alumni, $700 in Comets Giving Days bonus funds will be split and awarded to top performers (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Doors open on April 10 at 6:30 p.m., first-come seating. Help the @UTDallasAlumni Instagram account reach 10,000 followers by April 7, 2026 and $500 in bonus funds will be gifted at random to one of our Comets Giving Days groups and announced on April 8. Help the account reach 11,000 followers by the close of giving days on April 8 and an additional $1,000 in bonus funds will be gifted at random and announced on April 9, 2026. Social Comets, activate those networks!
