Who We Are
experimenta.l. is a collaborative lab at the Bass School focused on creative research in experimental animation, where students push boundaries, take risks, and explore different techniques to create meaningful animation.

What We’re Fundraising For
Your support, at any level, directly fuels student success. Donations help cover travel and participation in national and international festivals and conferences, and provide essential art supplies so students can keep creating exciting original work.

Our Impact
We give students real-world experience that goes beyond the classroom. Through our lab, they produce, exhibit, and present their work at competitive events such as the Annecy International Animation Festival in France, the Society for Animation Studies (SAS) Conference, Aurora Video Arts Night in downtown Dallas, the Lanterna Mágica Festival in Brazil, and participate in the International Animation Day screenings worldwide.
