Celebrating a Decade of Success – Join Us in Supporting Undergraduate Success Scholars!
In 2014, the Office of Undergraduate Education launched the Undergraduate Success Scholars (USS) program to create guided pathways for students, enhancing retention and success at UT Dallas. Over the past decade, USS has been instrumental in helping students achieve their academic and personal goals through:
✨ Personalized success plans
✨ Mentorship
✨ Monthly workshops addressing financial, academic, and personal needs
✨ Advanced leadership experiences, including conference attendance
✨ Cultural experiences and community service
Each year, over 150 first-year students join USS, and as of May 2024, nearly 500 scholars have proudly earned their undergraduate degrees!
Key Highlights from 2023-2024:
- A majority of USS students are majoring in business and STEM disciplines, with many planning to continue their education.
- 49% of new scholars in 2023 are first-generation college students.
- The six-year graduation rate for active USS students is an impressive 98%, compared to 52% for those who became inactive.
- 92% of participants agree that USS helps them identify actions to improve academic performance.
- 96% of participants agree that USS has increased their awareness of behaviors that lead to academic success.
- In Fall 2023, 100% of graduating USS seniors received graduate school admission or secured employment.
As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we invite you to support the Undergraduate Success Scholars program. Your gift, no matter the size, will make a significant impact on the success of our students at UT Dallas. Together, we can continue to empower the next generation of leaders and innovators.
