The Comet Cupboard could not exist or grow without your help.
The Comet Cupboard food pantry, an on-campus student-led initiative, began operations in 2012 and is dedicated to helping students in need achieve academic success by alleviating their food insecurity challenges. The Comet Cupboard exists and operates solely from donations. Thank you to everyone who has ever given.

Food insecurity compromises a student’s ability to achieve academic success.
According to college students surveyed in the College and University Food Bank Alliance’s Hunger on Campus study, 53% or respondents report missing a class, 55% did not buy a required textbook and 25% dropped a class because of hunger or housing problems.
We value each student and want to ensure they have their essential needs met to achieve their full potential during their academic journey. This year, your support helps us not only meet immediate needs, but grow sustainable solutions that expand access, strengthen programs and reach more students across campus. Please join us to continue the mission of feeding hungry Comets.
Let’s create a #HungerFreeUTD!
As part of this year’s Comets Giving Days, the 6 for Success: Comet Donation Drive offers a powerful way to give back. Each monetary or in‑kind gift triggers an additional $10 donation that directly supports the Comet Cupboard and the Basic Needs Resource Center.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Comet Cupboard this far through giving, sharing and word of mouth! There are still more than $7,000 in matching funds available, and we need your help to meet this match in full! Please keep the momentum of day two going and help us finish strong. Thank you for growing with us and fighting hunger, together!
