This year, the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences turns 50. What began as UT Dallas's School of Human Development has grown into a nationally recognized community of researchers, clinicians, and educators working to understand the brain, behavior, and what it means to live a healthy life.

Our work spans neuroscience, psychology, and speech, language, and hearing sciences — in the lab, in the clinic, and in the classroom. We study thought and language, aging, pain, and social interaction across the full spectrum of human experience, with the goal of improving health and quality of life for individuals, families, and communities.

None of it happens without our students. Fifty years of growth has built something truly remarkable. This Comets Giving Day, help turn that momentum into opportunity for the Comets shaping the next fifty:
